My Dad wrote something that I thought needed to be included in my blog.  It is a perspective on all the random questions people ask.  Thought it was good enough to type up.  There are no answers, just questions.  This is appropriate for grief.  Sometimes it is good just to write it all out.  He says he will not explain himself anymore and does not have all the answers.  Wise man.

Why did this happen?
Was it a show?
Why couldn't you fix this?
Did you ask God?
Did you pray?
Was there an answer?
Who's business is it?
Is she better off?
How long have you known?
Was the family happy?
Did they agree?
Were they angry?
Did they get an answer?
Do you think she would like it like this?
Do you remember?
Did you do what she wanted?
How could you tell?
Did she fight it?
How are you doing?
What are you going to do?
How long ago?
Can you sleep?
Do you eat?
Are you back to work?
How can we help?
Is there anything you need?
Do you miss her?
Are you angry?
Are you still sad?
How are you holding up?
Do you feel guilty?
How come it wasn't you?
Will you finish the house?
Are you seeing anyone?
Are you lonely?
What's wrong with you?
Do you blame God?
Do you blame her?
Did you give her your best?
Is there anything left?

I thought these questions were interesting.  Definitely could go in a book about what not to say to people who are grieving.
